·       Optimization of Resource management and optimal control of wireless networks

·       Cross-layer (network to physical layer) designs and performance analysis of wireless networked systems

·       Peer-to-peer communication systems : architectures, game theoretic models, performance analysis, incentive mechanisms design

·       Space Division Multiple Access,  smart antennas and impact on higher layer mechanisms

·       Wireless sensor network architectural design and energy efficiency issues

·       Wireless security with emphasis on modeling and detection of attacks and network counter-measures
