Panagiota Tsompanopoulou is Assistant Professor in Department of Computer and Communication Engineering of University of Thessaly, Greece.

Her research interests are Numerical Analysis, Scientific Computing, Agent Computing, Parallel Processing, Multi-Physics Problem Solving Environments, Optimization methods for Transistors Design.

She has been Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Simula Research Laboratory, Norway and Post Doctoral Research Associate in Department of Computer Sciences, Purdue University.
She received her MS in Applied Mathematics from University of Crete, Greece in January 1995, her MS in Computer Sciences from Purdue University, USA in May 1999 and her PhD in Numerical Analysis from University of Crete, Greece in July 2000.
